Hello Dominguez Family

Hello all!

My name is Cindy Townsend, and my dad is Pete Dominguez. My dad and I were talking on the phone the other day about all the Dominguez family that lives throughout the U.S. We thought it would be neat to create a blog where we can all re-connect, or connect for the first time! This blog is open to all Dominguez family, spouses, children, friends, etc.

I live in Pearland, Texas with my husband David, and my children Dillon (8), and Reese (2). As soon as I figure out how, I will upload photo's of all of us.

  1. Hi Cindy. This is your daddy Cindy. Behave or I will make you go to your room! Can't wait until others join in on this. Love you all. Pete

  2. Hi Cindy,
You don't know me but my name is Marti Ruger. My mom, Mary Krutsinger, is your dad's sister. I am the youngest child of Mary & Dale.

I live in Flora, Ilinois with my husband Jeff. I have 2 daughters, but only one now at home. Jordan is 18 and will be graduating from high school this year. Jackie is 26 and lives in Belleville, Illinois. I don't know how to upload photos but Jordan can probably teach me.

  3. Hello All,
My name is Denese Dominguez (Uncle Pete, I apologize for not calling back. I've started my own firm and there just aren't enough hours in the day -- remember?), and I live in Severn, Maryland. My father was Lou Dominguez-- now deceased. I have four kids: Alexander (20), Jonathan (19), and Annaliese and Julia, 5 year-old twins. I will post some pics as soon as Jonathan emails them to me (that's my snarky little comment to Jonathan who has been promising them to me since shortly after Christmas). I am happily divorced and practicing law in this great State of Maryland and will post a little more a little later.

Great site, and thank you, Cindy, for starting this.

  5. Hi everyone again. This is Dad/Uncle Pete and I am trying to figure out how to work this thing. It won't let me post my comments, and since my comments are so profound, I need to get it right.Grrrrr!!!!

  6. Hi Dominguez family!
This is Anita Fitzjarrald. I am the oldest daughter of Dale and Mary. Mary is Uncle Pete's, or your dad's sister. Marti who posted earlier is my little sister.
I live in Kansas, Illinois and am happily married to Charles.
We have one son living in South Dakota now with his wife and family.
We have 5 grandchildren ages 17 to 11 months. The two oldest are still here in Illinois though.
I am not formally working now, but am trying to build an online jewelry business. I make and sell bead jewerly. Mom is my biggest fan of course and most frequent customer!
Thanks Cindy for starting this blog.
Hope to learn more about everybody and keep in touch more.

  7. Hey everyone,

WOW!! I am very happy y'all (remember, I am from Texas!) responded! I re-read my initial blog, and I realized I sound very boring. I guess it is kind of awkward to try and explain who you are on a blog...anyone else feel this way :) I changed my profile and added a picture of Dillon and Reese, as of now..I have only figured out how to upload one picture at a time, and to think I am a teacher! I teach children who have Autism at an elementary school (my son used to think I taught artisitc children) and it's been a very interesting few years. My wonderful husband works in Galveston, and it has been a lot different since hurricane Ike visited us a few months ago. My sisters, Laura and Margie will also be posting their blogs soon (I would give their ages but they are stronger than me!). It is very neat to hear about all of y'all and where y'all live, we are truly spread out! I almost feel like I need a flow chart to put it all together:) For those of you who live up north, it snowed here on my birthday this year 12/10. This may not seem like a big deal, but it was only my 2nd time to see snow! Then 2 days later it was in the high 70's. Anita, what is your website where you sell your jewelry? Well, I gotta run and pick up the kids, I'll post more soon!
    Take care,
    Cindy

  8. Hi Alex: Uncle Pete here. Don't fret too much about being called Alexander by your mom. It' a "mommy" thing. After all, once upon a time, there was a great warrior named "Alexander the Great". Come to think of it, once upon a time there was a guy named "Saint Peter". Okay, Alex, here's the deal. Folks just may not see what we have in common with those other guys. Anyway, I wish you well on your efforts to establish a career in finance. You are young and have a million tomorrows to make it happen. Of course, after you succeed, you will find that there are lots of beautiful girls out there just waiting to help you spend your fortune. That's the price you must pay for being a handsome young man (a typical trait of the Dominguez men) I too am working on a career path. I have become a professional golfer (sort of). I play golf about three to five times a week. Last week, I won $20.00!! Of course, I have an overhead problem. The cost of monthly club dues, practice balls on the range, tips, golf cart fee, etc., is killing me. Maybe someday you will want to invest in my career. :-) Sure...heeheehaha.
Well, glad to hear from you. Keep in contact.
    Uncle Pete

  10. Actually, Uncle Pete, Alexander was named for Alexander the Great. Given his start (I didn't know I was pregnant until 5-1/2 months into it, cigarettes, x-rays, antibiotics, dieting, skiing, etc.), and how perfect he was in spite of it all, he was named for Alexander the Great! It's funny you would use that in your example. And, Cindy, it's cute that your son thought you taught "artistic" children. Annaliese said she wanted to be a "liar" (lawyer) just like Mommy when she grows up. I can't wait until her pronunciations become clearer. ha, ha.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Denese Dear: I should have known! A great kid would be named after a great man. And, your daughter is already very perceptive at her tender age. Your are a lawyer, right? Sorry it's so cold where you have your practice. One of the fellows on the golf course recently visited your part of the county. He reported back that it was so cold, the lawyers had to keep their hands in their own pockets! (Yer gonna havta git used to the "liar" jokes.)
But, a big ole big "Congratulations." Now the fun begins. It's kinda tough to build a practice, but hang in there. I hope your court has a generous supply of court appointed cases, i.e. criminal, guardianships, guardian-ad-litem's., etc. I used appointments a lot. If you go criminal though, you gotta be careful that too many appointed cases indentify you as a "public defender." That is sort of a 'kiss of death' in getting good fee paying criminal cases. (which are rare anyway). Let me know from time to time how your practice is shaping up. Gee, come to thing of it, there was a time when I had all kinds of general law form books, etc., which might have been helpful to you. Anyway, 'congratulations' again and good luck. Now, go "kick ass!" Love you. Uncle Pete

  12. ugh... mom... its alex... just alex, hahaha. speaking of the 'beautiful girls spending my fortune' thing... i met a girl the other day, hahaha. and mom dont worry this one is MUCH nicer than the last, hahaha... much cuter too, haha. her names alyssa and shes a dancer... she gives private dance lessons until she can afford to open her own studio. unfortunately she just got out of a big relationship and isnt really looking for another one but since we started talking she seemed to like me so wish me luck, hahaha.

  13. Okay. Anita, Marti, Cindy... Got any advice for this young man? Sounds like he is being reeled in for the kill. She's playing "hard-to-get" and little does he know how you females pull our strings.... Get ready to bite the dust Alex. And, Alex...If she's really hot, don't introduce her to your mommy. :-) Uncle Pete

  14. Hey Cindy and everyone - hopefully third time's the charm. I tried to write a post and my son Liam pushed some buttons and deleted everything, then tried again and screwed it up myself!

Anyway - I'm Margie, Pete's eldest daughter (sounds really old. Does first born sound better? At least as far as I know...:) anyway -I'm a psychologist and live in Los Angeles with my family. My husband Chris is a television writer, and we have three kids. Our son DJ is 23, and trying out living in Texas at the moment. We also have a 5 1/2 year old daughter, Rowan, and our son Liam turns 3 today!

I remember going to Aunt Mary's farm as a little kid, and remember looking up to Marty a lot. I think there was a room with a colored light bulb in it? and I remember falling in the pig pen and Uncle Dale having to fish me out. (probably will always remember that one). It's really nice to finally connect with folks on this side of the family, I'll look forward to hearing more.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Hi Margie and everyone, I also think it is nice to hear from the other side of the family. Mom and dad were really happy to hear that we are all getting to known each other. They don't have a computer, but Uncle Pete has their phone number. Mom & dad didn't get to go to Florida for the winter this year. I don't think they appreciate the snow like you did Cindy. Living here in Illinois it is hard to image only seeing snow twice in your life time. Talk to you again soon.

    ReplyDelete
  16. hello everyone... nice to meet you margie. so no luck so far uncle pete... she had a really harsh breakup so once im confident shes interested in me (who wouldnt be right? hahahaha) ill see where it goes... its one of those things you just have to play by ear. but last night went well... we went to starbucks and talked for about 8 hours straight... completely skipped the movie we were supposed to see, hahaha... almost got her to smack me a few times (i was teasing her a lot so it was a good thing, hahaha)... so yeah... fingers are crossed

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hi again Marti: Yes, it's too bad that mom & dad don't have a computer. What do you think your chances are of talking them into getting one? If you do, will you pick out lottery numbers for me???? But, I know they feel pretty good that all the kids are getting together. And of course, we all feel pretty good about having Uncle/Dad Pete to listen to and hang on every word he utters. Right?? We still have to get Andy and Claudia Dominguez and Rob Dominguez in here, but I'm sure that will happen. I have a bunch of really great kids in my family. If only my golf game didn't suck!!! I getting bored with guys fighting over who's turn it is to be my opponent.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hey again,

Dad, I'll be your opponent, that way you are sure to win! Alex...8 hours of talking? WOW, could you give my husband a call? Well, I just have a minute before I'm out the door, but Dillon's football team won another game today! He's very excited and has decided that a career in professional football might be better than being an engineer.NOOOOOOOO! He's only 8, so I guess I shouldn't worry, after all when I was his age I thought it would be the best thing ever if I could be one of the ppl who got to ride on the back of the trash truck. Any way, Dave and I have a date tonight, so I have to go find my girly clothes in the back of my closet! Oh, and Anita, I checked out your jewelry, you are very talented! I'll have to order something soon. I posted a new picture of Reese, she's 2 1/2 now, but I just love this picture.
    Y'all take care!
    Cindy

  19. yup 8 hours... we would have talked longer but starbucks was closing and we realized what time it was... but i have never had a more enjoyable conversation with anyone

  20. Hi everyone, Seems like there is a lot to catch up on with everybody here.
Hi, Margie, I have a grandson named Liam too, His first birthday will be Feb 25.
Uncle, Pete you do seem to love golf. The only time I ever tried to swing a golf club was in high school in PE. We tried to tee off I guess you would call it. I have no natural talent for golf at all.
I do like to go bowling, but we don't have much time with my husband's work hours right now.
Uncle Pete do you remember when we sat down to play chess one day, long long ago, when you lived here in IL?

Alex, romance is a beautiful thing. I if you do find the right person and ever get married, try to keep some romance in you life over the years. My husband and I have been married for 34 years and still look forward to spending even more of our lives together.
Okay, I also have a granddaughter, Alexia, 17 now and we often call here Alex too.
I gave here this blog address so maybe she will post too.

Have a great day every one, we are looking forward to a winter storm here in IL. Maybe 6 inches of snow or so.
    Have a great day all,

    ReplyDelete
  21. congratulations on 34 years of marriage anita... i hope things continue to go well for you and your family. weve had quite a bit of snow up here too this winter... its very nice, hahaha. for some reason though i seem to be the only new yorker who enjoys snow... go figure, hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Anita: Yes, I do have a memory of playing chess with you. And, yes, that was a long long time ago. I don't remember how badly I beat you....:-). I did win, didn't I????? Anyway, it's funny how things escape your memory until someone says something. I remember I played chess with you but I don't remember how the game ended. I think I remember that we play at the farm. What do you remember about it? Just in case you remember that you won, I would like for you to know that while you have been digging your way out of snow, I have been exhibiting my skills on the golf course. Yes, it's a tough life, but someone has to do it..:-) Love you. Uncle Pete

    ReplyDelete
  23. OK, wow, much to post. However, first and foremost -- ALEXANDER, YOU ARE NOT A NEW YORKER. You are temporarily lost and will find your way south eventually. I don't ever want to hear you say that again, young man! :-) only half kidding.

Now, Uncle Pete, two long time golfers were standing over looking the river. One golfer looked to the other and said, "Look at those idiots fishin' in the rain." I'll take the lawyer jokes, but you get the golfer jokes (and I'm certain there are retired lawyer jokes out there. I'll have to dig.)

Robert is going to post when he has a few minutes, and Jonathan is going to post soon, also. There isn't a hope in hell my mother will get on the computer unless she's looking over my shoulder to see what E-Bay has to offer.

Oh well, I've blown off work long enough. I'll have to post some more a little later. Great to hear from you all.

  24. im a new yorker, im a new yorker, im a new yorker... hahaha wow, i feel 5... and its alex. well now that im done with that little immature spat... why does oma go on ebay? also... didnt quite get the golfer joke... the thing that makes golfer/lawyer jokes funny is that people who arent in those professions can understand them... sorry mom... uncle petes got the upper hand so far, hahaha

  25. Hello all!

My name is Jonathan, Grandson of Lou Dominguez and son of Denese Dominguez (remember, she said "that's my snarky little comment to Jonathan who has been promising them to me since shortly after Christmas"... Thanks mother :{P). Alexander, my brother, is a southerner that has seemingly lost his way. I'm 19 years old, live in Maryland, and attend Towson University. I'm a Biology major and am in the Pre-Med. program. Being 19 I have no children, no job, no responsibility, and no qualms about all of that!

This blog was a great idea Cindy, thanks for taking the initiative for it!

    ReplyDelete
  26. OH!

I'm the one who would have all the pictures from this little branch of the family, I'll post some before I head to bed (it's about 0100 right now) and a few more as I rummage through the vast photo library known as my PC.

    ReplyDelete
  27. ok, Alex, the joke is as follows: Two golfers are out in the rain playing golf commenting that two fishermen are idiots for staying out in the rain to fish. Get it? If you have to explain it, it clearly isn't funny. I guess I have to be more clever with my jokes. Anyway, hope everyone is well.

    ReplyDelete
  28. oh my god i give up... alex, alexander, whatever you all feel like calling me is fine, hahaha. and yeah mom i wasnt even close to that, hahaha

  29. Hi Everyone,
This is Andy and Claudia from New Hampshire. I am the son of Louis and Monika Dominguez. Also am the brother of Robert and Denese Dominguez. We are living in Hudson, New Hampshire. We are the parents of two 'angels', Jason (9) and Michelle (8). We also got all the great white stuff so that has forced us to go skiing every weekend. I am still on the bunny slopes while everyone else is enjoying the blue slopes. Uncle Pete, Claudia wants to know where your picture on the post is.

    ReplyDelete
  30. uncle andy! havent heard from you in years! how have you been? how is everyone? its nice to hear from you all

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hi Andy: Glad you guys joined us. Sorry to hear about the snow. It was really cold here today too. We weren't able to take our golf jackets off until after 11:00 this morning. Well, that's the brutal weather here in South Carolina. Tell Claudia that I'm looking for a picture I can post, but then I have to figure out how to post it. But not to fret, I'm sure that everyone already knows how macho, muscular, handsome I am. Anyway, glad you joined our little group, which seems to be growing. Cindy really had a great idea and I'm really happy that she started this thing.

  32. Hi Marti: I was thinking about you. Well, mostly about your hubby. I remember one time when I was visiting your dad in Xenia and I had a big black mark on my car. Your mom and I went for a short walk and while we were gone, Jeff had magically removed the blemish. Now, it seems that my wife found it necessary to press the button to close our garage door, but didn't find it necessary to make sure the car was parked completely inside the garage. Naturally, the garage door came down on the trunk and what a surprise. The trunk now has a scratch on it. Do you think you guys could drive on down to South Carolina and let Jeff work his magic again??? (It was worth a try.:-) Also, do you think you could get those two busy daughters of yours to latch onto a computer keyboard and get on board with this blog?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Just a quick note on an issue that Jonathan pointed out -- none of us can post any pics because we are all merely commenters. In order for anyone else to post notes or photos(other than comments in response to Cindy's original note) we will have to be granted permission which only Cindy can do.

    ReplyDelete
  34. hey mom can you ask jonathan to scan through his library and see if he has any pics of me... as far as i know my most up to date pic is the one we took at his graduation 2 years ago

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hey everyone!
I am trying to figure out how to give "permission" so that everyone can upload their photos. Haven't figured out how...yet, but I'm working on it. It is so neat to see the photos already posted, I can actually see a family resemblence!

  36. Hi Everyone, You may have noticed that your cousins Anita, Lisa, and Marti have been quite for the last few days. For many months, their father, Dale has been very ill. Today, at 2:45pm, life slipped away from him. Obviously, your aunt Mary has not yet had an opportunity to make Funeral arrangements. Patty and I are traveling to Illinois in the morning to be with her, so I will not be on this blog for a few days. In the meantime, if you have a chance to send her a card, I'm sure that would be of comfort to her. Her address is: Mary Krutsinger, PO Box 175, Xenia, Il. 62899 Love you all. Uncle Pete

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi all and thanks uncle Pete for letting everyone know about Dad.
Here is a site that you can go to and find his arrangements and obituary.
    www.frankandbright.com
Just click on obituaries and dad's name will be listed.
It will be nice to see you Uncle Pete although it is a sad time.
I asked mom about learning to run and computer and she said no way. She has all of her crafting to do and technology likel that is not her thing.
I was thinking about printing out this blog and sending it to her now and then if that is possible.
I haven't checked that out yet, but maybe Cindy, you can advise me on that.
Hope you are are safe and well.
    Anita

  38. Hello everyone,

Marti, Anita, and Lisa... I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your father, I can't even imagine how difficult this must be for your family. Please know, and tell Aunt Mary, that y'all are in our thoughts and prayers. I read Uncle Dale's obituary and I would have loved to have met him, he sounds like a wonderful man to have known. I will be thinking of you all this weekend.

    Love,
    Cindy

    ReplyDelete
  39. I also wanted to express my condolences about Uncle Dale. I wish we'd had the opportunity to know him better. We'll be thinking of all of you and wishing you comfort as you go through this time.
    Love,
    Margie

  40. hi everyone,

thanks for your words of comfort, My dad was a wonderful man and father. Mom is doing better. She said she lost her husband (of 56 years) and her best friend. She got a call today from an old school friend of dads that they had kept in touch with all these years. He is going to donate $ 1,000 in memory of dad to the Salem School District where he and dad attended high school together. He said they would put a plaque up at the school for dad. Mom thought this was a great honor. It is a sad time but it is also nice knowing there were so many people that came to the visitation and funeral that really cared about our family. I better stop before I cry. Talk to you again soon.

  41. Hi Everyone: Well, here it is, Wednesday, the 18th, at 7:35pm, and I have not received a single phone call from American Idol. I'm sure that you all are as perplexed as I am at this strange oversight. Maybe it has to do with the injunction suit filed against me by my neighbors. The twelve beers I had may have influenced my vocal presentation, or maybe singing to the squirrels in the trees at midnight was a problem for them. Anyway, at least I have all of you to write to me and tell me how wonderful you think I am. Gee, I feel better already. I think I will run over to my neighbors house and see if I can borrow some money. Love you all. Dad/Uncle Pete

  43. Hi everyone, Mom has a photo of Uncle Pete when he graduated from college. We all got a kick out if it.
If I can get a copy I thought you might like to see your what your Dad looked like way back then.
However, Uncle Pete might not be so enthusiastic about the idea. But I think we can over rule him here, don't you think?
    Have a great day!

  44. Hello to all great admires of the GREAT Uncle Pete’s vocal talents. My name is Claudia and I am the devoted and obeying wife of Andy. (See Uncle Pete, we all have our little bubbles, and I am not going to burst yours about your American Idol talent. Let’s just say I am sure it was not the alcohol.) Our family lives in NH and we had another day off from school. I love it as much as the kids. They were outside for seven hours, but as I was clearing the snow all I could think of was you Uncle Pete, more specific your golf game. How did it go today? Was it maybe a little chilly and a bit white? If that was the case, try to color your golf ball bright orange, that’s how they play in Alaska. Let me know how your game went. You did say at one point you needed a challenge, right?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Claudia Sweetie! No wonder that I love you so much. Shoveling snow and thinking about me and my golf game? What a sweetheart you are. But, orange balls? I'm sure the guys would wonder about me if I showed up with my little orange balls. But, hey, it would give everyone on the golf course a chance to hear me sing "Great Balls of Fire". One thing is for sure, me and all my golfing buddies wanna get Andy's autograph. An "obeying" wife???? Most of us would settle for an occasional "yes" from our wives. I believe we could patten Andy's technique. Anyway, you are a super sweet and beautiful young lady. Now the only thing for the rest of us to do is to figure out a way to teach you some vices. :-) Love you. Uncle Pete

  46. Hey everyone!!

Hope all is well, life around here has been a little nuts! We adopted a new dog... she is almost 3 and is a Boxer. She is great with the kids and doesn't pee on my carpet so I guess that is good. Reese is so cute, she tells the dog to "sit" in her 2yr old language, and the poor dog has no clue what is being asked of her, but the kids love her anyway! We had an armed robber out in the area the other day, and both kid's schools were on lock-down for the entire day (yes that was a great phone call to receive while at work), but they caught the guy in a friend of mine's sister's tool shed where he had been hiding out for the day, crazy! As is turns out, this guy shot at a couple as he tried to carjack them, shot at the police, and is currently the suspect in a murder that occured about a month ago out here... and we live in somewhat of a small town, so it's all anyone can talk about around here. We are looking forward to Spring break next week, right now it is 80 something, but by the time we go to sleep it is supposed to be in the 40's or 50's and rainy, which makes PERFECT sleeping weather!
What's eveyone else been up to?? Has anyone been able to upload photo's? Am I supposed to do anything to give "permission" for this to happen?? Please tell me we have a computer person in this family cause it's not me :)

Soooo, just in case you spanish gringos don't have your translator handy... "I'm Laura, the middle kid of "Uncle Pete" and it is nice to e-meet all of you! You'd think being that this is the "Dominguez" family blog we'd all be typing in Spanish."

Margie is my older sister which leaves Cindy as the baby...ahem, youngest. I'm the extrovert middle child and happy for my "peace keeper" place in our family... I've got two sisters for my best friends and one can hardly beat that!

So, before I get into who I am and such, I just have to say that having read through all the posts, I also remember the farm...or at least one visit in particular. I think it might have been the same one that Margie fell into the pig pen. I didn't get to see it though because I apparently had the world's worst case of childhood constipation because I remember spending most of the day on the toilet with Mom and Aunt Mary trying to make me drink castor oil!! TMI? Perhaps a tad! But, come on!...it must have been a traumatic experience for me to remember it as I was really young. Not trying to downplay Margie's entire pig pen thing but seriously, I would have rather been fished out of mud...

OK...so intro me...I'm a registered nurse and work in an administrative position in education development for healthcare execs. I'm married - 10 years now - to an incredible guy that has put up with more than his fair share of me. His name is Rob and we have one son, Will, who will turn 5 years old in April. He is a total comedian just like his Dad. We've got two sweet dogs, Raina and Saygen, that are about 100 lbs each. We live in Bastrop - a little town right outside Austin TX. It is the kind of small town where permanent teeth are optional - but we call it home.

I actually tried to post a blog a while back but kept having issues and gave up. Sorry for entering so late but glad to be online with everyone.

On a sincere note, I received a lovely letter from Aunt Mary this weekend. I can't imagine what she and all of you must be feeling right now. Dad mentioned how many friends and loved ones attended Uncle Dale's services. What a testament to his life to have so many people want to bid farewell, honor him and be there for his family. I am so sorry for all of your loss.

Buenos noches for now mi familia....!
    Laura

  48. Wait a second... What is this farm you speak of?? You mean there was a time when one of my sisters was on the pot and the other in the pin,,at the same time no less? and I missed it???
So not fair! I would have paid $ to see that, actually, I still will ;)

  49. Happy Birthday Laura!!! Love your MUCH, MUCH, MUCH younger sister :)

  50. Why thanks, dear sister. I must say for someone that LOOKS older and has more grey hairs than much much older me you shouldn't throw age stones. Remember, i live in Bastrop...my windows are made of plastic...so whatever you throw bounces off me and sticks to you. Hey, i hear they have a sale on Botox at a spa near you...you should totally check that out. Oh, and i got your card in the mail. The one you purchased for a buck fifty at Walgreens and spent 15 times that to mail express mail because you don't know the meaning of DAYTIMER. just kidding little sis. i still love you, perhaps more knowing you threw down that much money to get me a card on time.

Thanks for the birthday wish Alex. YOU happened to be on time as it was actually on the 20th....and apparently saved about twenty bucks in the process not having to mail me anything!

So...not sure how this blog thing works. Does it notify anyone when a new item is entered? i hope it doesn't die on the vine. Yes, this coming from me, the last to chime in.

i sent Aunt Mary a letter this past weekend with a picture of my family. i know it is a hard time for her now but i'm thankful she's got a lot of neighbors and girlfriends that seem to keep her company. or at least that is what she indicated in her letter to me.

ok, so i'm late but loyal. tell all your peeps to drop a line once and a while so we can keep this thing going. maybe one day we could all get totally crazy and set up a family reunion...or would that be a family meet and greet? i think dad would pee himself.

    love to all.. Laura

  51. Hello,
Remember.... I live in Pearland Texas...we don't have spas! I had 1 gray hair a year ago and decided to keep it, I felt it added character! And as far as your card, you BETTER have gotten it on the 20th, or I will have to look at the guaranteed tracker I paid so much for (what nation am I from? procrastination!)

BTW...why is it that you can post on this blog and NOT answer my phone calls??? I see, I too have caller ID and will not answer your call the next 5 times you call me! But if it is really important, just call 5 times in a row, and then I'll forgive you and answer on the 6th :)

  52. wow... can you say 'sibling rivalry', hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hi Alex. Well, Alex.. about the sibling rivalry thing.. remember that they are females. It's like cats sharpening their claws. A sort of training for the way they will attempt to manage their husbands. This is probably one explanation that you will someday more fully appreciate. In the meantime, you should "duck" because they are gonna start throwing things at me.

  54. Alex, welcome to the men' club. However, this also entitles you to play "dumb" when they have got some little chore, etc., for you to do, and if you really wanna have fun, play "disinterested" when they play hard-to-get. The challenging thing about women is that no single strategy or approach in handling them works really good, and to approach an argument by trying to "dissect the issues and discuss each one logically and unemotionally" NEVER WORKS, but that approach almost always pisses them off, and that is fun. Good luck.

  55. you know i never really understood why that was... i mean yes pissing women off by proving how illogical their arguements usually are is more entertaining than tv but i never knew why they get so upset about it all the time, hahahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  56. oh, aren't you boys funny. Let me 'splain it to you Uncle Pete and Alexander! First and foremost, women don't by and large make illogical arguments (as an aside, you spellt that wrong, Alex). We are merely attempting to put the issues out at a level that even you can understand :-) Further, you think you're smart by playing dumb when you get a little chore -- we know you're not "playing" dumb. It's simply easier for us to do it ourselves than go over step by step with you. That, however, is our payoff and why you have to cut the grass when it's hotter than hell out, and why you have to shovel the snow while I sit inside the warmth of my nice clean house sipping hot coffee. It's also why you get elected to do the nasty jobs -- fix the toilet, clear the garbage disposal, take the garbage out -- you get the picture, right boys? ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

  57. Denese Dear, you sound so female, but we love you anyway. Your explanations of female motivations and behavior are remarkable and entirely unexpected. You see, such an analysis would require abstract thinking and that is a concept few females can achieve. So, not only do we love you, we are proud of you. I only wish that you had been more accurate. Are you sure you don't have a few blond hairs hidden above your very pretty face. :-). Love you, mean it. Uncle Pete

  59. Mrs. Denese Dominguez, I know this is kinda of random but my name is Bryanna Kelley, I've been over to your house a few times and am friends with your son, Jonathan. He randomly fell off the face of the earth and I am trying to find him. He told me and his friends at Towson he was leaving for culinary school, and then left Towson, facebook and just disappeared. I was wondering if you could fill in a curious and concerned friend as to how he is? Just want to make sure he's okay.
